Week 39 Check-Up
Nothing has changed. I'm still at 2 centimeters. The doctor said "any day."

Maybe if I stop thinking about it, I'll go into labor...

Hey, guess what. Remember everyone's favorite (ahem) teacher at the Wednesday school? He had been there twelve years and was supposed to move on, but apparently no other schools wanted him and the BoE said Yoroshiku to the current school, so there he stays. And I have class with him. First period. Great way to end things on JET, right? (The whole situation had me in stitches. Maybe it'll have you in labor?)

OMG! I'll never forget the time he had a few boys in the class repeat sentences about how nice my shape is (they should see it now). Ah, memories....!

Maybe I should say yoroshiku to the baby and he'll cooperate a little more, too. Onegaishimasu...

Oh, good lord! My favorite was how, every frickin' time I came to class, he'd tell the students that today they had a wonderful beautiful talented pretty nice amazing special guest from New York. He'd make a boy translate "beautiful special guest" and go on and on about it, and I wanted to smack him around the head and point out that actually, I'm a teacher, not a guest.

Is it working?
